Service Safari by Flaminia Del Conte
With over a decade of experience in innovation and design, Flaminia will join UXLx 2024 for a workshop on Service Safari, a cost-saving research method, applicable at any stage of the design process.
First we’ll understand what a service safari is — why, how and when to do it. Then for the hands-on part of the workshop, we’ll divide into small teams and go out into the field, visiting local attractions in Lisbon to experience and observe services in action. In the end, we’ll generate ideas for improvements, innovations and a better world through design.
Let’s be open to new ways of thinking, work quickly and collaboratively, but most of all let’s have fun.

Designing Services with AI by Titta Jylkäs
Based in Lapland, Finland, Titta is a an experienced service designer and educator focusing on digital services with artificial intelligence and data science.
Rather than focusing on AI tools, in this workshop, we will dive into the main functionalities of AI, such as natural language processing, predictions, and decision automation, and form an understanding of how those functions can be used as a part of digital service to enhance user experience.
We’ll get back to work with a concrete framework for incorporating AI into digital services.
